MANIFIESTO DEL PRIMERO DE MAYO

El PSOE, en el 1º de Mayo, muestra su apoyo a los trabajadores y a quienes se encuentran en situación de desempleo y quiere trasladarles que tienen al Partido Socialista de su parte en la defensa de sus derechos.

No estamos ante un 1º de Mayo cualquiera; es el primero que los españoles celebramos tras la ruptura, por el Gobierno del Partido Popular, del modelo de relaciones laborales de nuestra Constitución.

Una ruptura propiciada por una reforma laboral aprobada al margen del diálogo social, sin consenso político y vulnerando preceptos constitucionales. Los socialistas mostramos nuestro rotundo rechazo a esta reforma, que lejos de ofrecer una respuesta a los problemas de nuestra economía, intenta aprovechar una coyuntura de crisis económica para realizar un ajuste de cuentas con los derechos de los trabajadores.

Cuatro meses después de que el PP haya llegado al Gobierno, hoy los trabajadores tienen más probabilidades de ser despedidos, desarrollan su trabajo en unas condiciones más precarias y tienen menos posibilidades de utilizar la negociación colectiva como vehículo para pactar sus condiciones de trabajo.

Y a cambio de nada; la reforma laboral no soluciona ni la dualidad de nuestro mercado de trabajo, ni su capacidad para crear empleo, sino que agrava los desequilibrios de nuestra economía.

Los españoles ya se están dando cuenta de que este Gobierno no tiene un plan para enfrentar la crisis pero sí una ideología profundamente conservadora que utiliza la grave situación económica como coartada para acabar con todos los pilares que sustentan nuestra cohesión social.

El Gobierno tendrá enfrente al Partido Socialista hasta que no ceje en su empeño de romper el equilibrio en las relaciones laborales, de suprimir el carácter universal de nuestra sanidad y de limitar la capacidad de generar igualdad de oportunidades de nuestra educación pública.

Las causas de esta crisis no se encuentran ni en nuestros hospitales, ni en las aulas, ni en los servicios sociales, ni en el modelo de relaciones laborales. Es una crisis cuyo origen se sitúa en el sistema financiero internacional y que en España ha intensificado sus efectos sobre el empleo al coincidir con el estallido de nuestra burbuja inmobiliaria.

La solución a los problemas económicos que nos aquejan, no pasa por laminar las bases de nuestro Estado de Bienestar, ni por imponer vías de ajuste rápidas a través de despidos y empleos precarios, sino por desarrollar aquellas políticas que mejoren nuestro crecimiento y competitividad sin lesionar derechos sociales que son patrimonio del conjunto de la sociedad española.

Es necesario introducir más eficiencia y competencia en nuestros mercados de bienes y servicios, reforzar nuestro sistema educativo y la formación continua de trabajadores, impulsar la investigación y el desarrollo, potenciar la actividad emprendedora y la base exportadora de nuestras empresas y seguir capitalizando nuestra economía con infraestructuras productivas.

España y Europa, necesitan una agenda de crecimiento que complemente las acciones para situar las economías en la senda de la estabilidad presupuestaria. Y hoy esa agenda contra la crisis es una evidencia que se manifiesta con más fuerza que nunca en Europa y que el Gobierno de España sigue ignorando, permanece al margen.

Existen ya demasiadas evidencias, y España es una de ellas, de que intensificar el ajuste presupuestario sin política de crecimiento, es la fórmula más eficaz para conseguir más recesión, más desempleo y, por tanto, más dificultad para alcanzar el equilibrio estructural de nuestras cuentas públicas.

En un día como el 1º de Mayo, los socialistas hacemos un llamamiento para que el Gobierno rectifique su política económica, tan injusta y tan dañina, para nuestras posibilidades de recuperación.

Reforzamos nuestro compromiso con los derechos de todas las personas que tienen trabajo y de quienes aspiran a tenerlo.

Reforzamos nuestro compromiso con una política económica alternativa, que logre ganar competitividad sin atacar los derechos de los trabajadores y que se instale en la senda de la estabilidad presupuestaria, sin llevarse por delante nuestro Estado social.

Y con este empeño, y con la firme convicción de que hay un camino más justo y eficaz para salir de la crisis, nos manifestaremos el 1º de Mayo y hacemos un llamamiento a la ciudadanía para que se una a las convocatorias de las organizaciones sindicales.
